JOB DESCRIPTION
Serve as the quality assurance (test) engineer within a six- to ten-person team that will be an extension of the storage software platforms group in Massachusetts, USA. This team will be part of the group that is responsible for design, development and execution of test procedures, scripts, components, including creation of test environment, necessary to provide high quality software for a family of storage products.
The engineer must have strong experience in testing of commercial-grade software and must have strong technical knowledge and skills. The candidate must demonstrate flexibility, strong motivation, problem solving skills and a ability to meet project deadlines.
Responsibilities include software tests design, development and execution for a family of storage products; including development of automated test environment. The position requires good 'hands on' development skills and a desire to work in a fast paced collaborative environment. Good communication skills are required for interaction with team members, including the ones from different countries. The position requires familiarity with both the user facing components of the management software, such as command line interfaces and graphical user interfaces, and the server side components that interface with the managed devices and SW features.

Qualifications
- Good working knowledge of technical English, including ability exchange written communication; ability to speak over the phone is a plus;
- Good understanding of computing principles such as: synchronization mechanisms, multithreaded programming, inter-process communication, networking, use of databases;
- General knowledge of at least one mainstream language, (preferred proficiency in C, C++, or JAVA), including use of debuggers and other SW development tools;
- Experience with test automation technologies and tools.
